Football Recap: Poudre Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Poudre made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Loveland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Impalas fell just short of the Red Wolves by a score of 17-14 on Friday. The Impalas' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Jackson Gebhardt was his usual excellent self, rushing for 130 yards and two scores for Loveland. Gebhardt is becoming a predictor of the Red Wolves' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Jaxx Sare also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Loveland): his a 46-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Loveland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5.

Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loveland, they will challenge Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
