Softball Game Preview: Faith Christian Eagles vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

Faith Christian is 2-8 against Clinton Central since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Faith Christian came up short against South Newton and fell 6-1.

Bella Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Keely Frier was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Clinton Central had taken Eastern down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Bulldogs lost 18-5 to the Comets.

Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Clinton Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Faith Christian skirted past Clinton Central 10-9 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
