Baseball Recap: Two Rivers Victorious

Two Rivers and Sheboygan Falls pushed the score to 25-12 the last time they played Sheboygan Falls, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Purple Raiders came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 4-0. The victory continues a trend for the Purple Raiders in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Noah Shillcox's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has become a key player for Two Rivers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 2-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Two Rivers' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Schramm, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Two Rivers' victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Sheboygan Falls, their loss was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Coming up, Two Rivers will welcome Algoma at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Purple Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sheboygan Falls, they will venture away from home to take on Roncalli at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
