Basketball Game Preview: Delhi Bears vs. St. Frederick Warriors

Delhi has won seven straight games at home, while St. Frederick has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Delhi Bears will welcome the St. Frederick Warriors at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Delhi beat Union Parish 62-50.

Delhi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dustin D Ykes, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Delhi is 12-6 when D Ykes posts ten or more rebounds, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Spruill, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, St. Frederick strolled past Delta Charter with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-46.

Delhi has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for St. Frederick, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.
