Softball Recap: Licking Takes a Loss

Licking lost against Willow Springs back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Licking lost 17-5 to Willow Springs. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Breeden and Zoey Dawson did some serious damage despite the final result: Breeden scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Dawson scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Licking now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Willow Springs, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. As for Willow Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
