Volleyball Game Preview: Arlington Spy Ponders vs. Woburn Memorial Tanners

The Arlington Spy Ponders will take on the Woburn Memorial Tanners at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Woburn Memorial took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Arlington, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Arlington beat Malden 3-1.

Arlington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Woburn Memorial came up short against Lynn Classical on Friday and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 14-25, 25-21.

Arlington is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Woburn Memorial, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Arlington came out on top in a nail-biter against Woburn Memorial in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spy Ponders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
