Softball Game Preview: Warwick Warriors vs. J.P. McCaskey Tornados

Warwick has gone a perfect 10-0 against J.P. McCaskey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warriors will welcome the Tornados at 7:00 p.m. Warwick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Warwick after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Central York by a score of 7-6.

Emerson Overly was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Ellis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, J.P. McCaskey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Lancaster Catholic, falling 11-0.

Warwick's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for J.P. McCaskey, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Warwick got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against J.P. McCaskey by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tornados have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
