Preview: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Stansbury Stallions
The Hillcrest Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Stansbury Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Hillcrest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Murray.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Isaac Miller, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rhett Robinson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Stansbury's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 66-56 to Tooele. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hillcrest now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Stansbury, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Hillcrest against Stansbury in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 73-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hillcrest since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
