Basketball Recap: Montague Takes a Loss

After flying high against Orchard View last Tuesday, Montague came back down to earth. The Montague Wildcats came up short against the Kent City Eagles on Friday, falling 49-26. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 47-21 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Montague has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Kent City, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montague will square off against Allendale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kent City, they will host Tri County Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
