Meanwhile, Penobscot Valley faced Calais in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Penobscot Valley took their game with ease, bagging an 86-26 win over Calais. The Howlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matches by 30 points or more this season.

Mattanawcook's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Penobscot Valley, their win bumped their record up to 21-0.
