The Southern Columbia Area Tigers will face off against the Minersville Battlin' Miners at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Columbia Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2 runs per game this season.

Southern Columbia Area came up short against Warrior Run on Thursday, falling 12-6. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ethan Makowski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Andrew Yost was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Minersville). They blew past Weatherly 11-1 on Thursday. The Battlin' Miners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
