Football Recap: Mosley Extends Winning Streak to Five

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Mosley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They secured a 42-36 W over the Niceville Eagles. The victory was familiar territory for the Dolphins, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Mosley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samuel Chisolm, who rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Chisolm is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Jp Holsombake was another key signal caller, throwing for 333 yards and three TDs.

Mosley's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Deagan McCoy four times. The heavy lifting was done by Will Arboleda and Cole Archambeau, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Niceville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jakobe Gilyard, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 79 yards. Another passer making a difference was McCoy, who threw for 241 yards and three TDs.

Mosley's record now sits at 6-1. As for Niceville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Mosley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 49-0 victory against Arnold on the 17th. As for Niceville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Milton at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
