Baseball Recap: Manvel Comes Up Short

Manvel came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Shadow Creek Sharks by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Mavericks have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Manvel saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Brayden Tuiasosopo, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Manvel's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Shadow Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Manvel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-1 defeat against Pearland on the 15th. As for Shadow Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 loss against Dawson on the 15th.
