If Victoria East wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fort Bend Kempner, they should've done a better job of containing Mario James. The Fort Bend Kempner Cougars blew past the Victoria East Titans 65-33 on Tuesday thanks in part to James, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high.

Tyler Haynes was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Fort Bend Kempner's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Victoria East, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-15.

Fort Bend Kempner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-30 victory against Victoria West on the 7th. As for Victoria East, they have also already played their next game, a 64-57 loss against Randle on the 7th.
