Volleyball Recap: Newcomers Takes a Loss

Newcomers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grover Cleveland Presidents. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Presidents when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newcomers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grover Cleveland, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newcomers will challenge rival Bryant at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grover Cleveland is set to face off against their familiar foe Long Island City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
