Football Game Preview: Kemmerer Rangers vs. Mountain View Buffalos + How To Watch

Kemmerer is 1-9 against Mountain View since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rangers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Buffalos at 6:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Kemmerer had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of Hot Springs County.

Meanwhile, Mountain View faced Cokeville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Buffalos blew past the Panthers, posting a 33-0 win. The Buffalos' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Mountain View's win came from a few key players Kemmerer will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kolby Roitz, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Race Carr, who rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Mountain View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 191 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Kemmerer, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Kemmerer was taken down by Mountain View 49-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Buffalos' Justus Platts, who rushed for 160 yards and three scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 181 yards and four TDs.
