Peyton Appenzellar put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April on Saturday. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Appenzellar's effort led Mercersburg Academy over Peddie and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons are limping into the matchup having lost 14 straight on the road dating back to last season.
