Baseball Recap: Wahkiakum Wins Going Away Against Raymond/South Bend

Wahkiakum lost to Raymond/South Bend back in March of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Wahkiakum Mules were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the Raymond/South Bend Ravens. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mules.

Parker Leitz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs but no hits. Leitz was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Carlson, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Rusty Morrison, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Wahkiakum hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Raymond/South Bend struck out 11 times.

Wahkiakum's record now sits at 2-0. As for Raymond/South Bend, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahkiakum will welcome Ocosta at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Raymond/South Bend, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
