Basketball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Monarchs vs. Hopewell Blue Devils

Meadowbrook hasn't had much luck against Hopewell recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Meadowbrook Monarchs will welcome the Hopewell Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m.

Meadowbrook is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 53-16 loss at the hands of Matoaca.

Meanwhile, Hopewell put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Varina 66-22. Fans of Hopewell have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Hopewell's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Meadowbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Meadowbrook was dealt a bruising 57-11 loss at the hands of Hopewell when the teams last played back in January. Can Meadowbrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
