Soccer Game Preview: Dickinson vs. Clear Falls

Dickinson hasn't had much luck against Clear Falls recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Dickinson Gators are taking a road trip to take on the Clear Falls Knights at 12:00 p.m.

Dickinson is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 5-2 to Clear Springs. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while the Chargers are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Clear Falls made sure to put some goals up on the board against Clear Brook on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Wolverines. Considering the Knights have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Clear Brook with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ellyn Switoyus (3), Addison Hodge, and Kaitlyn Masson.

Clear Falls now has a winning record of 5-4-4. As for Dickinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Dickinson came up short against Clear Falls when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Dickinson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
