Volleyball Recap: Schalmont Takes a Loss

Schalmont lost against Ichabod Crane back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sabres fell 3-1 to the Riders. The Sabres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-8, 25-16.

Brooke Howlan paced Schalmont's offense, picking up seven kills. Howlan got some help from Olivia Dagostino and her 20 assists. Finally, Madi Montrym kept Schalmont's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Schalmont now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Ichabod Crane, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Schalmont and Ichabod Crane will both be playing La Salle Institute the next time they take the court. The Riders will head out to face the Cadets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Sabres will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
