Volleyball Recap: Marquette University Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Cedarburg

Marquette University faced Cedarburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hilltoppers fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.

Among those leading the charge was Ben Klumpyan, who had eight digs. Sawyer Miller also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Marquette University's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cedarburg, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Marquette University will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Menomonee Falls at 7:00 p.m. on October 8. As for Cedarburg, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Middleton on the 30th.
