Volleyball Recap: Wakulla Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Wakulla had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lincoln Trojans. For the War Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

While Wakulla might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lincoln scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23.

Wakulla was led to victory by Leila Parsons and Kinley Lawhon. Parsons had 11 digs and two aces, while Lawhon had 29 digs and three aces. Those 29 digs gave Lawhon a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Wakulla was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln lost, don't look at Emma Cornelius. Despite the final result, she had 31 digs and three aces. Londyn Dickey also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Wakulla's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Wakulla didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Suwannee on the 9th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Madison County on the 11th.
