Basketball Recap: Lakewood Has No Trouble Against Utica

Lakewood's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Utica Redskins as the Lakewood Lancers made off with a 50-28 win. This was payback for the Lancers, who suffered a 40-25 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lakewood's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Utica, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Lakewood will head out on the road to square off against Johnstown-Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnstown-Monroe will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lakewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Utica, they will face off against Newark Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
