Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Camryn Brewer and Roosevelt Franklin Lead Indianapolis Washington to Victory

On Wednesday, the Indianapolis Washington Continentals were able to grind out a solid win over the KIPP Legacy Lions, taking the game 75-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Continentals.

Indianapolis Washington was led to victory by Roosevelt Franklin and Camryn Brewer. Franklin went 11-for-17 en route to 27 points in addition to six boards and four steals, while Brewer almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine rebounds. The matchup was Franklin's fifth in a row with at least 22 points. Kevey Shelby was another key player, putting up two points and eight assists.

Indianapolis Washington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jahmere Evans, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 24 points and seven boards. Evans is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Bell, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 17 points and six rebounds.

Indianapolis Washington's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for KIPP Legacy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Indianapolis Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 102-64 loss against Anderson on the 14th. As for KIPP Legacy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-52 win against Traders Point Christian on the 14th.
