Southern Wayne is 1-9 against C.B. Aycock since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Saints will head out to face off against the Golden Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Southern Wayne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

On Monday, Southern Wayne needed a bit of extra time to put away Fike. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Golden Demons. Given Southern Wayne's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Fike are ranked 278th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southern Wayne hit Fike with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anthony Giron Castillo, Jesus Giron Castillo, and Gerardo Sauno.

Meanwhile, C.B. Aycock was able to grind out a solid victory over Fike on Wednesday, taking the game 4-2. C.B. Aycock haven't had any issues with Fike recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Southern Wayne's record is now 10-1-1. As for C.B. Aycock, their record now sits at 13-0.

Southern Wayne couldn't quite get it done against C.B. Aycock in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
