Basketball Recap: University Charter Takes a Loss

University Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Choctaw County Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trail Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-30 on January 9th.

Choctaw County can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Thomas, who went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kamya Straight, who posted eight points and four steals.

University Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Choctaw County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

As of now, neither University Charter nor Choctaw County have any future games scheduled.
