Softball Recap: Frazee Comes Up Short

Frazee duked it out with Perham in a bug-themed battle on Thursday. The Hornets came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 10-3. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Frazee has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Perham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Coming up, Frazee will challenge Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perham, they will square off against Detroit Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.29 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
