Softball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Pinnacle Classical Academy was the 11-1 winner over Highland Tech when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Pinnacle Classical Academy fell just short of Highland Tech by a score of 16-15 on Tuesday. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Maggie Gomez-Huffman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Addison Jonas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Gomez-Huffman wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Pinnacle Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pinnacle Classical Academy fell to 3-1. As for Highland Tech, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Highland Tech beat Pinnacle Classical Academy by a score of 13-1 on Friday.
