Eastgate Life Academy extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Grayson Mayfield. Eastgate Life Academy took down the Kings Way Christian School Crusaders 70-53 on Thursday with plenty of help from Mayfield, who almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, Kings Way Christian School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Blasczyk shot 44% from the field on his way to 17 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Rangel, who posted 11 points.

Eastgate Life Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Kings Way Christian School, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Eastgate Life Academy and Kings Way Christian School will both be playing North Georgia Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Kings Way Christian School will head out to face North Georgia Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Eastgate Life Academy will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
