Danbury has gone a perfect 7-0 against Calvert recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Lakers will face off against the Senecas at 4:00 p.m. Danbury has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Danbury had taken Lakota down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Lakers came up short against the Raiders, falling 26-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lakers have suffered against the Raiders since April 24, 2019.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Calvert nor St. Joseph Central Catholic made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Senecas walked away with a 7-4 win over the Crimson Streaks. The game was the first time the Senecas have beaten the Crimson Streaks on their field since April 8, 2022.

Addison King was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Addie Endicott was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gracie Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Danbury has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Calvert, their record now sits at 17-4.

Danbury was able to grind out a solid victory over Calvert in their previous matchup last Friday, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
