Volleyball Recap: North Star Gets the Win

North Star not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 14, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Ligonier Valley Rams 3-0. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

The win didn't come easy: Ligonier Valley scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-21.

Alyssa Kostyk paced North Star's offense, picking up nine kills. Kostyk got some help from Janiley Sepulveda and her 22 assists. Finally, Kostyk was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

North Star's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

North Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Shade on the 27th. Ligonier Valley has also already played their next matchup (against Derry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
