Basketball Game Preview: Bellville Brahmas vs. Navasota Rattlers

Bellville is 1-9 against Navasota since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bellville Brahmas will head out on the road to square off against the Navasota Rattlers at 7:15 p.m.

Bellville is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 17, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 68-41 loss at the hands of La Grange. The Brahmas were down 52-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Navasota strolled past Caldwell with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 66-47. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Hornets are ranked 1318th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Navasota is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Bellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Bellville came up short against Navasota when the teams last played on January 10th, falling 72-59. Can Bellville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
