Softball Game Preview: Bartlett Panthers vs. Southwind Jaguars

Bartlett is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Southwind an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Bartlett Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Southwind Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. Bartlett has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bartlett couldn't beat Houston on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Panthers lost 16-5 to the Mustangs.

Bartlett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Southwind had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Manassas 15-5 on Saturday. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Jaguars this season.

Southwind's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-23.

Bartlett took their victory against Southwind in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 17-1 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
