Volleyball Recap: Brookside Comes Up Short

Brookside was the 2-1 winner over Rocky River when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Pirates on Saturday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15.

Sara Afaneh paced Brookside's offense, picking up six kills. Afaneh got some help from Sydney Adkins and her 14 assists.

Brookside's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rocky River, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Brookside has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Columbia on the 2nd. As for Rocky River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Normandy on the 2nd.
