Basketball Recap: Clinton-Massie Comes Up Short

Clinton-Massie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McClain Tigers. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Clinton-Massie still got an impressive performance from Tristen Trampler, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Mills, who posted six points.

Even though they lost, Clinton-Massie was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Clinton-Massie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for McClain, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton-Massie will venture away from home to challenge Wilmington at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for McClain, they will head out to square off against Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
