Volleyball Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short

Kewanee saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brimfield Indians.

Leading Brimfield to victory were Anja Nelson and Josie Wiewel. Nelson had ten digs and five aces, while Wiewel had seven digs. Nelson has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Kewanee's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Brimfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Kewanee has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Roanoke-Benson on the 27th. As for Brimfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wethersfield on the 27th.
