Football Recap: Placer Starts Season with Win at Home

Placer gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Folsom Bulldogs 45-19. The Hillmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Placer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lilli Fjelstad and Paige Denniston. Fjelstad got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Folsom dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Placer will square off against Bella Vista at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Folsom, they will take on Grant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
