Newark Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Green. The result was nothing new for the Green Wave, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, South Webster posted their closest victory since May 6th on Wednesday. They skirted past Strasburg-Franklin 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Jeeps sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Newark Catholic's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Webster, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.
