Basketball Game Preview: Millington Central Trojans vs. Dyersburg Trojans

Millington Central will venture away from home to square off against Dyersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Millington Central heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Wednesday. They fell 48-37 to Munford.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ayanna Ransom, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Whiten, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Dyersburg came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 45-34 win over the Hornets.

Millington Central's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Dyersburg, their victory bumped their record up to 26-4.

Millington Central took a serious blow against Dyersburg in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 67-32. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Millington Central was down 36-8.
