California is 2-8 against El Rancho since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Condors will be playing at home against the Dons at 3:15 p.m. California's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so El Rancho's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

California's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Santa Fe hitters got past them. The Condors lost 12-2 to the Chiefs on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Condors have suffered since March 22nd.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between El Rancho and La Serna, and La Serna kept the tradition alive. The Dons took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers on Friday.

El Rancho got a good showing from Mario Herrera Jr, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Herrera Jr has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Esteban Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season.

El Rancho's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
