Basketball Recap: Mcqueen Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

McQueen won the last time they faced Reed, and Alex Hancock did his part to make sure it happened again. The McQueen Lancers walked away with a 56-49 victory over the Reed Raiders on Monday thanks in part to Hancock, who went 8 for 15 en route to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Reed lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gabriel Smith, who posted ten points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Hoffman, who scored 12 points.

McQueen's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10. As for Reed, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

McQueen will host Damonte Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Damonte Ranch will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something McQueen surely won't give up without a fight. Reed has already played their next contest, a 57-50 win against Carson on the 28th.
