Hume-Fogg waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 74-58 win over the Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Royals. Given the Blue Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Royals are ranked 180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hume-Fogg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isiah Ring, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and four steals. That's the most assists Ring has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Nwoye, who went 8 of 18 en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks.

Hume-Fogg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 19 consecutive games.

Hume-Fogg's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 9-10.

Hume-Fogg will be playing at home against Glencliff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, they are taking a road trip to challenge Valor College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
