Basketball Recap: Kayla Fudge and Tarriah Washington Secure Win for Mountain Island Charter

After losing to Bradford Prep the last time they met, Mountain Island Charter decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mountain Island Charter Raptors enjoyed a cozy 41-25 win over the Bradford Prep Bears on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raptors.

Mountain Island Charter was led to victory by Tarriah Washington and Kayla Fudge. Washington posted 12 points along with six boards and four steals, while Fudge scored nine points and six rebounds. That's the most rebounds Washington has posted since back in November of 2023.

Despite the loss, Bradford Prep had strong showings from Peyton Clark, who had nine points, and Avery Brisseaux, who earned nine points and four steals. Clark continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory got Mountain Island Charter back to even at 6-6. As for Bradford Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Mountain Island Charter has already played their next matchup, a 50-24 defeat against Lincoln Charter on the 21st. As for Bradford Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-19 win against Corvian Community on the 23rd.
