After flying high against Folsom last Friday, Vista del Lago came back down to earth. The Eagles were just a hair shy of victory on Thursday and fell 13-12 to the Ponderosa Bruins. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Vista del Lago didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tayler Dray and Taylor Peyrucain. Dray is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

The critical scores for Ponderosa came from Aleyah Cruz and Lily Thomas.

Vista del Lago's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Ponderosa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Vista del Lago wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 46-8 victory against Bella Vista on the 29th. As for Ponderosa, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-0 win against Inderkum on the 29th.
