Basketball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Central Magnet last Friday, Franklin County came back down to earth. The Franklin County Rebels came up short against the Lawrence County Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 60-35. The Rebels have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin County lost, don't look at Brayden Arnold. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds Arnold has posted since back in December of 2024. Brandon Walker was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Lawrence County, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Franklin County has already played their next matchup, a 35-26 defeat against Giles County on the 7th. As for Lawrence County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-57 loss against Tullahoma on the 7th.
