It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Germantown had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cedarburg Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Warhawks in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Germantown got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-7.

When it comes to explaining why Cedarburg lost, don't look at Ben Klumpyan. Despite the final result, he had nine digs and two aces. Klumpyan is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Germantown's win bumped their record up to 32-5. As for Cedarburg, their defeat ended a ten-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 30-11.

Germantown has already played their next matchup (against Brookfield Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cedarburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
