Volleyball Recap: Newton (Home School)'s Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Newton (Home School) entered their tilt with Tyro Christian on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Newton (Home School) was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-14.

Newton (Home School) found their leader in sophomore Chloe Hoelscher, who had seven digs and three aces.

Newton (Home School) was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Newton (Home School)'s win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Tyro Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Newton (Home School) will venture away from home to challenge St. Xavier on Monday. As for Tyro Christian, they will host Liberty HomeSchool Alliance at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
