Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tualatin). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South Salem Saxons a 24-0 shutout on Wednesday. While the Timberwolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Reese Strode made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Strode was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Madisen Garrett was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sydney Jensen, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
