Baseball Recap: Yerington Beats Pershing County for Their Third Straight Win

Yerington entered their tilt with Pershing County on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kyson Shramek, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Valor Angle, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Yerington's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Pershing County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
